Sales Our Sales teams help to deliver Reckitt's purpose by building shared success with our customers, making access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment possible in-stores and online. Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where cross-functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success. We have around 10,000 salespeople worldwide, within roles such as Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing, and Category Development.
About the role Our brands are Number 1 or Number 2 in their primary markets, working with key retail players like Tesco, Boots, Asda, and Sainsbury’s. You will be able to say you work for the most successful market innovator in the sector, with 30% of sales over three years coming from new products, and a company recognized for its strong commercial capabilities, offering numerous career opportunities.
As a Trade Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for analysis, strategy, best practices, 4Ps monitoring/follow-up, new product introductions, and planning at a category level across a customer group.
Gathering and understanding consumer and channel/customer insights through research, and using this data to develop category 4Ps strategies for customer implementation.
Understanding and transferring global and local category best practices to sales teams, and sharing local success with global teams.
Developing channel strategies for optimal product assortment and placement, utilizing store shelf space efficiently, satisfying consumer needs, and eliminating stock-outs.
Recommending effective pricing and promotion strategies aligned with category success models.
Leading annual category 4Ps planning, translating business objectives into actionable roadmaps for sales, conducting gap analysis, and developing corrective plans.
Championing new product market entry and execution, including tracking and analyzing in-market implementation.
Developing and presenting market, consumer, and category trend insights to key customers, and understanding competitors’ 4P strategies.
Using various data sources to analyze market trends, competition, customer, and brand strategies.
Developing trade spend guidelines, performing top-line allocations, and reviewing field trade spend.
Assisting in developing national or local account-specific promotional programs and key events.
Supporting demand planning for products.
The experience we're looking for Degree-level education with a background in sales or trade marketing, with strong category management experience within FMCG.
Demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of the customer management process.
Ability to analyze large, complex data sets, interpret findings, and develop straightforward plans.
Confident communicator and influencer at all organizational levels, with a desire to succeed.
Strong knowledge of syndicated data sources (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data) and advanced Excel and technology skills.
