Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Operative to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The Logistics Operative will be responsible for carrying out assigned logistics tasks across all areas of responsibility – goods-in, materials handling, warehousing, storing, packing, and distribution.
2. You will be part of continuous improvement projects focusing on customer satisfaction, cost reduction, on-time performance, and process efficiency improvements.
3. You will liaise with and support internal departments and external customers with their logistics requirements, ensuring they are dealt with in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
4. Carry out a range of logistics duties as allocated by department manager or team leader.
5. Be responsible for health & safety of yourself and others in line with our EHS roles and responsibilities.
6. Prepare and complete required documentation and fulfill operational procedures and ERP processes.
7. Maintain a flexible approach, working across all logistics areas where business demands require.
8. Keep good 6S standards within the department, ensuring all rubbish is placed in bins, machines are placed correctly when finished, and work surfaces are kept tidy.
9. Utilize lean methodology to optimize all processes within logistics to ensure efficiency.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001).
11. Self-analyze your performance; plan and implement your own improvement.
12. Complete all documentation timely and accurately.
13. Adhere to quality controls and measures; support the quality team on RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action).
14. Report near misses and support activities to deliver improvements.
Skills/Experience:
1. Previous experience in logistics, including materials handling, packing, warehousing, storing, and distribution of goods.
2. Good communication skills to effectively communicate across diverse groups.
3. Flexible, highly motivated with a can-do attitude.
4. Exposure to lean manufacturing principles.
5. Familiarity with IT tools, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
6. Experience in investigations of non-conformance and root cause analysis.
