Overview
W Edinburgh is hiring a Room Service Supervisor to join the team. Reporting to the Room Service Manager, the Room Service Supervisor will have overall responsibility for daily operations of the Room Service team, ensuring guests receive a flawless service. The hotel recently won the Scottish Hotel of the Year 2025 award, and this is an opportunity to join a high-profile property in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
* Create a positive working environment, while providing support and guidance to the room service team
* Ensure high levels of service are being achieved
* Answer questions on the menu, including how food is prepared, possible modifications, and allergens present
* Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, wait times, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silverware before serving it to guests
* Present accurate checks to guests and process payments on service
* Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
