We do big things with a small (but growing) team
At Apatura, we develop the projects that powers clean energy and a thriving digital world: think battery storage, data centres, and the connections that bring it to life. It’s complex, high impact work, and we’re doing it with a small but highly talented team.
We’re united by big ideas, bold ambitions, and a genuine sense of purpose. We move fast and we’re not afraid to do things differently.
We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to act as our brand guardian, bringing creativity, consistency, and precision to every piece of visual communication we produce.
From public consultation materials and corporate reports to infographics, digital content, and UX design, you’ll help us tell our story with clarity and impact. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications and working with teams across the business, you’ll design assets that engage communities, partners, and investors while ensuring our visual identity remains strong, coherent, and distinctive.
This is a hands‑on, varied role for a designer who can balance creative flair with brand discipline and enjoys turning complex ideas into simple, powerful design solutions.
Key responsibilities
* Serve as Apatura’s brand guardian, ensuring design consistency and quality across all materials and channels.
* Create high‑quality visuals for public consultations, corporate presentations, investor materials, reports, and marketing campaigns.
* Design clear, engaging infographics that communicate complex technical information simply and effectively.
* Produce and maintain PowerPoint templates and corporate decks for internal and external use.
* Support the creation and evolution of Apatura’s website, ensuring strong UX and visual alignment with brand principles.
* Develop layouts and graphics for both digital and print materials, including brochures, social assets, and event collateral.
* Collaborate across teams to translate technical content into visually engaging stories.
* Contribute to the evolution of Apatura’s brand guidelines, ensuring they remain current and practical.
* Mentor junior team members and help raise design standards across the business.
* Manage multiple design projects and deadlines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Key qualifications
* Proven experience as a graphic designer, ideally within corporate, energy, infrastructure, or agency environments.
* A strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of work, from brand identity and corporate design to infographics and digital assets.
* Excellent understanding of brand systems and visual identity management.
* Advanced PowerPoint and presentation design skills, with a flair for clear, visually appealing storytelling.
* Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD or Figma).
* Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and experience working with or briefing web developers.
* Excellent attention to detail and production quality.
* Confident communicator with the ability to mentor, collaborate, and influence across teams.
* Motion design or video editing experience would be an advantage.
What you’ll bring
* A sharp eye for detail and a passion for consistency.
* The confidence to uphold and evolve Apatura’s brand identity.
* The ability to turn technical content into visually engaging, accessible design.
* A collaborative, supportive approach to guiding others and sharing creative best practice.
What we offer
* Private medical care with Bupa (household included)
* Enhanced pension scheme
* EV salary sacrifice scheme + cycle‑to‑work scheme
* 30 days of leave including Bank Holidays + extra leave over the holidays
* Access to free, confidential counselling and other wellbeing resources through our Employee Assistance Programme
* Life assurance scheme at 6x salary
