Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Indirect Procurement Buyer located in Kendal.
Reporting to the Regional Commodity Manager Indirect, the Senior Indirect Procurement Buyer will be tasked with coordinating activities involved with procuring indirect materials and services; high portion on Facilities and Capex approved spend
What a typical day looks like:
1. Using different forms of caring– e-auction, sealed, open care
2. In-direct Procurement of non-standard materials and services on aQuire basis
3. Ongoing and close participation with cross-functional teams, the global IP team and the Flex GBS team
4. Processing the requests received in the aQuire system within 48 hours, sending out the request for proposal.
5. Compare the offers and select the best one - Cost and Quality.
6. Interpreting contracts, dealing with the legal department representative and cross-functional areas, arranging signatures and ensuring mailing.
7. Managing the recruitment of suppliers
8. Overall management of global projects, knowledge of KPI's and drive to meet them
9. Agile participation in English language conference calls, meetings, representing the IP team
10. Constant liaison with suppliers and peers
11. Knowledge of and compliance with the procurement processes defined in the integrated management system
12. Requesting and documenting safety data sheets
13. Continuous monitoring, maintenance and updating of minimum stocks (as part of the job)
14. Preparation and recording of reports
15. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
16. End-to-end ownership of sourcing and tendering activities through to contract execution
17. Ownership mentality with a hands-on and accountable approach
18. Transparent, reliable, and result-oriented working style with “hungry for learning” attitude
19. Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability
20. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional international environment
21. Close cooperation with global, regional, and local stakeholders in a non-silo, partnership-driven setup
22. Experience using internal procurement and ERP systems
23. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to quality and execution excellence
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
24. Typically requires a relevant degree and 5 years procurement experience
25. Background in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering would be advantageous
26. Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as ten-key, spreadsheet (PC) and ERP software
27. Ability to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
28. Experience in writing reports, business correspondence and procedures and to effectively present information and acknowledges to questions from groups.
29. Experience in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
30. Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
