About Us
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Knowledge Mobilisation (KM) specialist to lead development and delivery of KM strategy and activities for the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration, South London (ARC-SL). The successful candidate will join a thriving Policy Research Unit specialising in health and social care workforce research, based at The Policy Institute, King’s College London. The Policy Institute offers an environment conducive to conducting policy impact activities with extensive communications and engagement support for Knowledge Mobilisation. Our goal is to ensure societal benefits from research are realised, and we look forward to supporting ARC-SL in their KM activities.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in Knowledge Mobilisation activities within health and social care, managing large, complex projects. They will lead the development and delivery of KM strategies for ARC-SL, act as the point of contact for the National ARC KM Coordinating Centre, and collaborate with colleagues across ARCs nationally. Responsibilities include engaging stakeholders through workshops, roundtables, and other activities, utilizing diverse media to promote research findings, and developing independent and collaborative research projects. As Senior KM Fellow, they will supervise junior KM fellows, and contribute to training and capacity building. This role offers an opportunity to shape a KM programme and grow a team, requiring strong relationships and a commitment to project success.
Responsibilities
* Lead development and implementation of KM strategies for ARC-SL
* Coordinate with the National ARC KM Centre and collaborate across ARCs
* Engage stakeholders through impactful workshops and activities
* Promote research findings via various media channels
* Develop research and evaluation projects in KM
* Supervise and mentor junior KM staff
* Design and deliver training and capacity building activities
About You
To succeed, candidates should have:
Essential Criteria
* PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field
* Extensive knowledge and practice of Knowledge Mobilisation
* Experience in planning and conducting KM and implementation research
* Effective communication skills with diverse audiences
* Experience managing complex projects in health and social care
* Research experience with a strong publication record
* Experience working within health and care settings
* Project management skills
Desirable Criteria
* Further training in KM, Implementation, and Evaluation
* Knowledge of local health and care policies
* Experience in training and capacity building
* Leadership experience in research teams
* Experience collaborating with non-academic stakeholders
