Highlands Surgery is looking for a friendly, motivated, and proactive receptionist / care navigator to join our welcoming and supportive team. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), worked over 4 flexible days (Monday to Friday). Shifts are 5 hours, either 08:00–13:00 or 13:30–18:30, offering a good work-life balance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy GP practice where you will play a vital role in supporting patients and helping them access the care they need. Main Duties of the Role Welcoming and directing patients in a professional and friendly manner Managing appointment bookings efficiently Handling patient queries and concerns (face-to-face, online, and via telephone), and signposting to the appropriate team member or service Processing letters, completed forms, and specimen requests Providing guidance on practice procedures Registering new patients Maintaining accurate patient records, including scanning, filing, and general administrative tasks About the Candidate General practice is a fast-paced and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.
