We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and flexible individual who is passionate about working with children. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the quality of care and the overall wellbeing of our children.
The successful candidate will provide flexible support as a Learning Assistant at Balloch ELCC.
Applicants are required to be registered with, and maintain registration with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care of Children’s Services. More information can be found at: www.sssc.uk.com
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which are "spent" under the Act. Failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action if employed.
