Overview
Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst role within the Environment Agency, joining the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The PMO focuses on creating a centralised portfolio to drive change, transformation and continuous improvement. We are currently looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the team.
The team helps shape and optimise project Portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing decision-making, and providing evidence to manage risk across change and transformation. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change and transformation with development opportunities and strong support from the team.
You will be an important part of the PMO, analysing data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio, helping set standards for benefits and value management and embedding them. You will help identify, value and validate project benefits.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers to shape and optimise the portfolio.
* Set and embed standards for benefits and value management.
* Identify, value and validate project benefits across the portfolio.
* Support change, transformation and continuous improvement across the business.
Skills and Experience
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; able to work independently and in a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Experience working with diverse backgrounds and promoting diversity in work.
Additional information
* Hybrid working location; national role with an EA Office base. Some travel and overnights may be required.
