Overview
Senior DevOps Engineer to join a specialist technical consultancy's Central Government team. Work on complex, high-impact projects and shape modern, secure cloud infrastructure.
Location & Working Model
Work from home or from one of six UK office hubs (including Bristol, Cheltenham, and London). Bi-weekly travel to London to meet with customers is required.
Responsibilities
* designing, building, and evolving secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
* designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure
* deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters (Docker, Helm)
* developing automated tools and processes for deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance
* creating and maintaining security, compliance, and disaster recovery procedures
* optimising systems for high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency
* monitoring and improving infrastructure/application performance
* troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure/application issues
* mentoring junior DevOps engineers
About You / Essential Skills & Experience
* passion for cloud technologies and automation; thrives in a collaborative, problem-solving environment
* Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
* Configuration Management & Automation expertise
* Containers & orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
* Observability tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana
* Basic programming skills (any language)
* CI/CD pipeline development and management experience
Eligibility
You must be a British citizen who has lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years to qualify for high-level security clearance.
