To provide a clerical and administrative service within the school.
Responsibilities
\n
* Responsible for recording information in SEEMIS computer system.
\n
* Word processing of documentation.
\n
* Cash handling and banking as required.
\n
* Assisting with staff supervision.
\n
* Undertaking general clerical duties including reception.
\n
The Individual
\n
* Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology and equipment eg photocopier, email, intra/internet.
\n
* Significant experience in clerical work including figure work and typing.
\n
* Experience of handling cash.
\n
* Four SQA Standard Grades or equivalent (at level 3 or above) including English and Maths.
\n
* A qualification in office administration/secretarial subjects.
\n
* Experience of a range of software applications eg SEEMIS, Microsoft applications.
\n
* Demonstrate an understanding of key skills in organising oneself i.e. ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
\n
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
\n
* Self confidence.
\n
* Self motivated.
\n
* Excellent typing/word processing skills.
\n
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
\n
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of an effective team.
\n
* Well developed interpersonal skills.
\n
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing demands and situations.
\n
* Appreciation, acceptance and commitment to the importance of confidentiality.
\n
* Willingness to accept direction/ delegation.
\n

Starting Salary: £25,692.55 (pro rata)
£13.63 per hour
36.25 hours per week (47 week contract, i.e. term time working plus balance of days to be worked during school holiday periods)
