Role Summary
We are currently looking for a confident, supportive leader with significant experience of team supervision and development to oversee the management of our well-established and highly functioning specialist team. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to join the new management team at an early stage and participate in its development.
The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with an interest in, and aptitude for, strengthening and expanding working relationships within and outside of the department. The post holder will prioritize team building to ensure effective team working while supporting initiatives to improve engagement with service stakeholders. Standardization of processes will be a key focus to ensure consistent quality of service in line with best practices for the benefit of patients, staff, and the Trust.

This role involves ensuring the administrative service is appropriately resourced and supports the needs of the Cancer MDTs and their patients. The post holder will motivate and support the administrative workforce, fostering a patient-centred approach and promoting continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, patient care, and cost-effectiveness across the Trust.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high standards of information security, safeguarding patient and staff confidentiality. The post holder will uphold the professional image of the Trust through leadership and approach.
Based in the Cancer MDT Department, the Administrative Services Manager will provide business support to the Cancer Services team, managing Admin Line Managers to support MDT teams effectively. This includes scheduling workloads, supporting team meetings through effective communication, and refining MDT administrative processes.
Collaboration with managers within the service will be essential to ensure practice consistency and sharing of best practices. The post holder will act as a key link between administrative staff and senior management, cascading information and keeping the Cancer Performance Manager informed of relevant issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and proactive individual to support Cancer Services and contribute to high-quality patient care.
