Overview
Join our team at Kingston Hospital as a Trust Registrar in Emergency Medicine. The Trust Doctor will be part of and contribute to an existing motivated, driven and enthusiastic team of ED Medical Practitioners providing excellent clinical care to patients. The ED team are valued highly by the Trust. The Trust is acutely aware of the intensity and demands within the Emergency Department and provides support to its staff on all levels. Consideration will be given to support a working pattern that includes a blend of adult and paediatric emergency medicine shifts or an exclusive paediatric emergency medicine rota for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
* The assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department in all clinical areas according to department need under the direction of the Consultant in Charge.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
* Support of nursing staff and junior colleagues.
* Engage in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Abide by Trust standing regulations and clinical guidance.
* The post holder is responsible for all contractual obligations towards his/her employer and any statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Report any risk arising to patients, staff or other service users.
* Establish an agreed personal development plan with his/her allocated Consultant Mentor.
* Attend and/or participate in departmental teaching programme.
