Customer Team Leader
Location: 12-16 Christchurch St, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3AD
Pay: £13.65 per hour
Contract: Roles of 20 and 30 hours per week + regular overtime, part-time, permanent.
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview.

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you’ll need to authorise age-related sales.
We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op.

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to help lead the store team – coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members and deputising for the Store Manager, while also delivering great customer service and performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do
* Provide friendly and thoughtful service – giving welcoming, helpful, and considerate assistance daily, often managing the store and handling challenging situations.
* Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected.
* Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
* Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to ensure a great shopping experience.
* Support your store manager by deputising when necessary and handling various HR processes.
* Lead the introduction of new products and services, working closely with your team to implement changes and encourage feedback.
* Build relationships and participate in your local community, supporting the Store Manager with the local Co-op community plan.
