About the Role…
As an Anti-Piracy Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of our clients’ content. Operating within our Global Monitoring Platform, you will be responsible for various tasks including responding to customer requests, conducting forensic analysis, optimizing platform configurations, and identifying potential improvements. This role involves shift work, including daytime, evening, and night shifts, with weekend coverage required.
As one of our Anti-Piracy Operations Analysts, you will:
Provide timely updates and responses to customer requests in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Utilize networking forensic tools to investigate and enforce against pirate applications and illicit streaming devices.
Optimize the configuration of the Friend MTS Global Monitoring Platform to meet customer requirements and operational efficiencies.
Maintain event scheduling information and configure projects accordingly.
Perform operational tasks such as ticket management, manual piracy identification, and web scraper creation/maintenance.
Record post-event data for relevant events requested by the Client Services Team.
Raise technical matters with team leaders for escalation to relevant Product and Engineering Teams.
Apply Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCINT) techniques to identify new sources of piracy.
Contribute to the maintenance of comprehensive operational procedure documentation.
Identify potential system and operational improvements.
To be set up for success as one of our Anti-Piracy Operations Analysts, you will have:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology-related discipline OR exposure/experience in a technical environment.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DNS, routing, etc.
Understanding of HTML, and familiarity with Javascript and web development/debugging tools.
Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with colleagues.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Appreciation or passion for sports (due to the nature of content monitoring).
Ability to work shifts including daytimes, evenings, and night shifts lasting around 10 hours.
Must be able to commute to Birmingham, as this is an office-based position.
