About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist students with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom. You will help deliver tailored support that promotes engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. Responsibilities: • Support students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to enhance learning and engagement. • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions. • Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment. • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development. • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies and individual support plans. • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and support staff. • Assist with personal care when required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Qualifications: • Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a similar support role is desirable. • Understanding of SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting learners. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
