About the role
Beresponsible for leading and directing a small team of motivated PlanningCompliance Officers in the delivery of both a proactive and reactive PlanningCompliance service.
Additionally,you will assist in establishing and maintaining the priorities and objectivesof the unit, provide expert advice and guidance on relevant acts andlegislation and drive continuous improvement and compliance.
Inaddition you will undertake a number of the more complex investigations toprovide necessary support to the team.
Skills and experience
* Be an excellent communicator and professional inyour approach.
* Have experience in a statutory planningenvironment with strong technical knowledge and application of planninglegislation and law combined with law enforcement procedures.
* Be resilient and have a demonstrated high levelof emotional intelligence.
* Have demonstrated specialist skills, technicalability and experience in interpretation and enforcement of relevantlegislation/industry standards including relevant policies, procedures anddirectives.
* Be experienced in leading a team in a regulatoryenvironment.
* Have a high level of self-motivation to completecomplex.
