Senior Coronial Officer needed in Camden, £30.67phPAYE - Reference: RQ1615028
1. To assist HM Senior Coroner and the Area and Assistant Coroners in fulfilling their statutory duty with regards to the investigation and case management of unknown, violent, sudden, in custody or otherwise in state detention, and unnatural deaths from initial referral through to the end of the investigation.
2. To operate effectively within the Framework of Coronial Law, including the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, The Coroners (Investigations) Regulation 2013, The Coroners Inquest Rules 2013 and the Notification of Deaths Regulations 2019, while adhering to all relevant statutory provisions and case law and ensuring compliance with the Chief Coroners written advice and guidance, as well as Human Tissue Act.
3. To communicate directly with bereaved families, legal representatives, witnesses to provide advice and guidance in respect of coronial proceedings.
4. To act within the scope of coronial law at all times including the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, the Coroners (Investigation) Regulations 2013, Coroners (Inquest) Rules 2013 and other relevant statutory provisions, case law and guidance.
