Plant Operator – Cylinder Test Facility (Stoke-on-Trent) Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 5HB Duration: 6 months Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week Role Overview: As a Cylinder Test Operator, you will be responsible for inspection, refurbishment and validation activities that ensure the safety, compliance and quality of industrial gas cylinders. Key Responsibilities: Carry out cylinder, valve and pack inspections Complete refurbishment and re-validation of industrial and integrated products Maintain awareness and understanding of Health & Safety requirements Conduct fault inspections and escalate issues as required Undertake additional duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support operations Candidate Requirements: Mandatory: Minimum of City & Guilds in a mechanical discipline or NVQ equivalent Desirable: Forklift truck licence (advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided) Personal Qualities: Can-do attitude with initiative and self-motivation Positive and energetic approach to work Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement What's Offered: Full training in the cylinder test area A working culture built on respect, challenge and innovation Opportunities to learn, improve and contribute
