Senior Network Architect:

An exciting position has become available for a full-time experienced Senior Network Architect within a growing business focusing on the construction sector. The role of the Network Architect will be to design project IP network infrastructure to meet client requirements, improve network performance and ensure security. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate those requirements into network design and architecture that support the client and project objectives and ensure that it meets security and compliance requirements.

As Senior Network Architect, you would evaluate the business requirements for each project and develop the appropriate solution. The architect would then design and work as part of the onsite implementation team to install and commission the solution, ensuring that it integrates with other network infrastructure components and meets contractual obligations.

The Senior Network Architect is a key role and an interface between our clients and the business and provide experience and guidance to the Network Engineering team. For the candidate to be successful must have a consulting mentality, be a good communicator and confident with the ability to document and convey complex concepts.

Required Skills

* Experience designing business critical, high availability solutions and overseeing their deployment.
* Experience of technically designing complex network projects.
* Experience of network design in virtualised environments.
* Proven track record of WAN/LAN based network services.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to all stakeholders.
* Documentation and Proposal creation.
* Commercial experience developing and selling the solution.
* Understand and manage schedules and multiple projects at the same time.

Required Technology Design experience:

* Cisco routing & Switching including VSS, VRF, Vlans, SD-Access, SD-WAN, multicasting.
* Cisco ISE including SGT, Posture assessment, Policy/matrix definition and device profiling.
* Aruba Clearpass
* An understanding of Certificate management and administration

Additional Experience which will be viewed favourably

* Wireless Design (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus)
* Watchguard, Fortinet Firewalls
* Cisco Voice Webex solutions
* Experience working with tender specifications
* Experience of Structured Cabling systems design and installation
* GPON

Qualifications

* Whilst not mandatory a Bachelor's degree in subjects like Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical or hold/have attained Cisco CCNP routing and switching and/or Security within past 8years, CCT or CompTIA (Network or Security) would be advantageous when considering applicants.

An enhanced DBS check of the successful candidate will be undertaken, as it is a requirement of the post that a clean DBS check is maintained.

Role Description:

* Working in large commercial and construction environments.
* Undertake Network design based upon tender receipt and client brief.
* Generate detailed design documentation along with supplementary requirements.
* Develop project support documentation as required – Network schedules, schema's, proposals, technical brief, schematics.
* Be Involved in the project life cycle assisting with technical implementation design requirement as needed.
* Assisting and guiding the Deployment team with commissioning issues and develop solutions.
* Commercial awareness as relates to design and implementation
* Identify scope gaps and recommend solutions
* Excellent time management and priority determination skills
* Be polite and constructive whilst dealing with all customers .
* Maintain a high standards of work and professionalism
* Ability to work unsupervised and diligently
* Ability to work under pressure
* Personal determination to increase knowledge and competences
* Team working skills
* Excellent time keeping
* Driving license would be useful but not essential.
* The Role will be primarily office based is Surrey working alongside the team

* Salary starting at £65k+ based on experience
