Lead Chaplaincy Across the Hunter to Northern Rivers Regions A secondment opportunity of up to six (6) months is available for a dedicated and experienced Chaplaincy Manager to oversee services across the Hunter, Mid North Coast, and Northern Rivers regions. This role offers flexible work arrangements, with fulltime or part-time hours (minimum four days per week) and location flexibility within these areas. About the Role: As Chaplaincy Manager, you will: Model chaplaincy and lead a team to deliver effective, person-centred spiritual and pastoral care, regardless of cultural background or faith tradition. Guide chaplains in their professional development, including training and supervision. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for chaplains and Pastoral Care Volunteers. Ensure adherence to BaptistCare policies, procedures, and the highest standards of practice. Collaborate with site and program managers, and work closely with support teams (HR, Payroll, BTS, Finance, Marketing & Fundraising) to deliver a quality experience for all. Provide biblical Christian influence and perspective in services, policies, and team leadership. Participate in leadership meetings, performance appraisals, and divisional initiatives. Manage budgets and report on team activities in line with the Chaplaincy Manual. Treat all staff, customers, and volunteers with respect and dignity. About You: Tertiary Theological qualifications (inclusive of Pastoral Care subjects) OR Pastoral Care qualifications (inclusive of Theological subjects) At least five years post graduate experience in pastoral ministry and / or chaplaincy Demonstrated commitment to self-nurture, self-care, professional boundaries and professional development Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian church Work with and respect people from different faiths and backgrounds Willingness to continue to learn and grow Willingness to travel across different sites and locations Networking skills Current ‘Working with Children Check’ Current driver’s licence If you would like to be considered for the role, click “Apply” and please provide the following : A cover letter addressing ALL the listed essential qualifications, experience, and competencies Updated Resume About Us: We are proud to be part of the merged care organisation that will be known nationally as BaptistCare.
