About the Role We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong background in sport to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants in primary and secondary schools both mainstream and SEN provisions in Bridgend. No formal teaching qualifications are required — just a love for sport, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a difference. You’ll support pupils in the classroom and during physical education sessions, helping to promote teamwork, discipline, and confidence through sport. This is a fantastic entry point into education for anyone considering a future in teaching, coaching, or youth work. Key Responsibilities Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons Support pupils with learning and behaviour in and out of the classroom Lead small group activities and help with one-to-one support Encourage participation, resilience, and healthy lifestyles Be a role model for enthusiasm, respect, and teamwork Supporting students with SEBD, ASD, ADHD, and other ALN needs What We’re Looking For A background in sport (e.g., coaching, playing, fitness, or youth clubs) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential) Enhanced DBS on the update Service (We can help you apply!)
