We are looking for a seasoned Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to bring their technical expertise to our client's construction engineering firm, delivering ongoing excellence. A permanent position is on offer with an on-site working arrangement, where all project works will take place within our client's Winchester office, however flexibility will be considered. Grow and develop your knowledge and skills across a range of Maritime, Commercial, and Residential projects.
-Competitive salary of £60,000-£65,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee design procurements for complex mechanical systems, across a variety of Commercial, Maritime, and Residential projects.
-Establish, and ensure the maintenance of, detailed technical reports, calculations, specifications, documentation, and scope estimations.
-Work alongside professionals, across a range of disciplines, to identify and resolve design issues, implementing efficient, sustainable, and low-energy strategies.
-Ensure alignment with relevant legislation and regulations, client requirements, industry standards, and sustainability goals, across all ongoing works.
-Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other relevant project professionals, ensuring effective and transparent communication to allow for smooth project implementation.
-Promote the professional development of junior engineers by providing ongoing support and mentorship, ensuring performance advancements.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, with a chartered engineer status, or actively working towards attaining one.
-Profound experience within a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer role, or similar, with an understanding of Commercial, Maritime, and Residential systems.
-Significant acknowledgement of relevant industry standards, building regulations, key legislation, and sustainability goals.
-Effective communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to establish strong rapport with key project professionals.
-Strong team management, leadership, and organisational skills, with demonstrable experience supporting junior engineers towards professional progression
