We are seeking experienced Mental Health Officers to work within individual localities which have been created specifically to address the continuing demand for statutory mental health reports and other legislative duties. We need qualified and experienced staff, who are interested in undertaking this challenging and active operational role, which will also provide practical flexibility in the agreed working arrangements.
If successful you could be completing statutory reports and carrying out relevant statutory duties under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act, and the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act,. We are offering flexible working hours, as agreed, and in response to local demand. Your role will also be central to our assessment and planning responsibilities consistent with National and Council policies, procedures, practice and service standards.

You are required to have a CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent and be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). You must hold the Post Qualifying Mental Health Officer Award to apply for this post.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
