About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of productionised reporting to meet the needs of the Strategic Finance function and the wider business. You will deliver a high-quality reporting output to enable data driven decision making at all levels of the business.
In this role you will be working with best-in-class technology and have the opportunity to have a real impact, leading on projects for Senior stakeholders across Rathbones.
If you have previous experience with Power BI and are passionate about understanding and harnessing data, then we would like to hear from you. Experience with Snowflake and Alteryx would be desirable, but can be taught.
What you'll be responsible for
Reporting Ownership & Delivery
* Own the delivery, accuracy and timeliness of core finance reporting.
* Build, enhance and maintain dashboards and reports across tools (Power BI, Business Objects).
* Ensure reporting logic, assumptions and documentation are clear and consistent.
* Monitor report performance and resolve issues promptly.
Data Governance & Control
* Maintain business hierarchies, static data and reference structures.
* Uphold data governance, quality standards and security controls.
* Perform data quality checks and drive issue resolution.
* Support the maintenance of the central reporting data dictionary.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Translate complex reporting logic into clear, non‑technical language.
* Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and shape reporting solutions.
* Provide guidance, training and support for end‑users.
Technical Oversight & Data Integration
* Support integration of new data sources into reporting platforms.
* Work with data engineering teams on requirements, mapping and testing.
* Build and maintain data workflows (e.g., Alteryx) to automate preparation and validation.
* Ensure alignment of reporting logic with data models.
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
* Identify automation and efficiency opportunities within reporting processes.
* Contribute to the reporting and analytics roadmap, aligned with team strategy.

Reporting Expertise
* Experience of delivering accurate, insightful and reliable financial reporting and dashboards.
* Troubleshoot complex reporting issues and validate data with a right‑first‑time approach.
* Develop scalable reporting solutions using Power BI (experience with Alteryx and Snowflake is desirable, but not essential).
* Support integration, testing and optimisation of finance data models and systems.
Communication & Influence
* Translate complex data and logic into clear, business‑friendly insights.
* Engage stakeholders to understand needs and influence decision‑making through high‑quality reporting.
Process & Governance
* Maintain hierarchies, reference data and reporting structures in line with governance standards.
* Ensure reporting complies with audit, control and documentation requirements.
Strategic Insight
* Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and enhance reporting processes.
* Contribute to the development of the team reporting strategy.
* Ability to interpret data through a commercial lens, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that directly impact financial performance or operational outcomes.
