Overview
Operations Officer role at Skyborne. We are seeking a proactive and organised Operations Officer to provide essential operational support to our trainees from initial onboarding through to graduation, working closely with Training Managers and the Directors to optimise course capacities and training programmes. You will help ensure effective utilisation of aircraft, simulators, and classroom resources while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Comply with company procedures, especially regarding safety and compliance.
* Monitor safety and compliance, raising issues to the flight safety/management team as required.
* Produce and share pertinent information to flight crews and use air/ground radio to pass/receive information.
* Oversee and monitor flight operations including real-time aircraft tracking and liaison with Air Traffic Control Units for flight-critical information and training slot bookings.
* Manual handling of aircraft when required to reposition to/from the hangar.
* Support trainees with their flight requirements.
* Provide support to the training management team.
* Support the Flight Logger system and monitor expiry dates and data entry accuracy.
* Support administration processes for Ground school, Flight school and MCC APS training.
* Assist with preparation and publication of trainee reports and exam results.
* Provide required documentation to trainees for processing licence applications.
* Create and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for aircraft, classrooms, and simulators.
* Update tracking tools to monitor student progress and aircraft/simulator utilisation.
* Maintain tech logs and liaise with maintenance personnel to schedule servicing and defect rectification.
Qualifications
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal, to motivate staff and interact with contacts from executive to administrative levels.
* Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to accept changes and adjust accordingly.
* Experience working in professional relationships and in an operations environment would be beneficial.
* A keen interest in Aviation would be desirable.
Additional Information
Salary £30,000 per annum
* Shift pattern will be 4 days on, 4 days off and made up of 12-hour shifts, usually 07:00-19:00.
* Working as part of a 7 day operation; weekend and bank holidays availability is required.
