As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and approval of production parts, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
Your responsibilities as a Mechanical Inspector:
Inspect precision machined components using a range of measuring equipment.
Approve "First Off" components for each batch of production.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to maintain quality throughout production.
Liaise with suppliers and customers on quality-related issues.
Follow company quality procedures in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Complete quality documentation, including PPAP, ISIR, and FAIR reports where required.
Your current experience which will help you as a Mechanical Inspector:
Proven experience in mechanical inspection within a precision engineering environment.
Skilled in using standard measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is advantageous.
Experience with PPAP processes and related quality reporting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
What you can expect as a Mechanical Inspector:
£17 - £18 per hour, dependent on experience. (40 hour week)
24 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
