Dougie Mac is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Trust Fundraiser to lead on securing income from charitable trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to support our hospice services and future developments.

If you’ve worked as a Trust Fundraiser, Grants Officer, or Bid Writer, and have experience in writing funding proposals or managing a trusts and foundations pipeline, we’d love to hear from you. This is a brilliant opportunity to shape the future of trust fundraising at Dougie Mac, with a focus on delivering impact, building relationships, and contributing to strategic capital and service development.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders to align projects with fundable opportunities and be confident crafting persuasive, evidence-based cases for support to secure vital income.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Research, identify and apply to suitable trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies
* Write high-quality, persuasive funding applications tailored to each opportunity
* Build strong relationships with funders, providing excellent stewardship and reporting
* Maintain an accurate prospect pipeline and monitor income against targets
* Collaborate with senior leaders to understand future service needs and shape funding plans
* Contribute to capital development planning and organisational budgeting

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in trust fundraising or grant writing
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – with the ability to tell powerful stories through funding bids
* Strategic thinker with the ability to align funding to long-term plans
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently
* A collaborative approach and commitment to Dougie Mac’s values
* Ability to use databases and track outcomes
* Knowledge of charity finance, capital bids or palliative care is a bonus, but not essential

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 FTE per annum (Actual: £21,600 - £23,200 per annum)

Hours: 30 hours a week (4 days a week)
