The opportunity in more detail: Gain exposure across multiple areas of finance Develop month-end and management accounting experience Work closely with an experienced finance team Build commercial finance knowledge within a successful business Opportunity to expand your technical and analytical skillset Excellent platform for someone looking to advance their finance career The Role Reporting into the Company Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day accounting operations while supporting wider reporting and month-end activities. This is a varied position offering exposure to both transactional finance and management accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate sales ledger records Raise invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing Monitor outstanding balances and proactively manage collections Resolve account queries and maintain positive client relationships Support cash collection activities and payment arrangements Purchase Ledger & Supplier Management Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Prepare payment schedules and support supplier payment runs Maintain accurate supplier records and account information Reporting & Finance Support Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Assist with weekly and monthly reporting requirements Support cashflow monitoring and forecasting activities Produce finance reports and supporting schedules for management Month-End Exposure Assist with accruals, prepayments and journal postings Support monthly management accounts preparation Assist with reporting packs and variance analysis Contribute to month-end close activities and finance deadlines About You This role will suit an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to gain broader accounting exposure. Essential Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or similar finance role Experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control Strong understanding of cashflow and transactional finance processes Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong numerical ability and attention to detail The Ideal Person Professional and highly organised Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills Proactive and solutions-focused Able to manage competing priorities effectively Keen to continue developing within a broader finance role Next Steps If you're looking for an Accounts Assistant opportunity that offers exposure beyond transactional finance and provides the chance to develop valuable month-end and management accounting experience, we'd love to hear from you.
