Role Overview
Senior Design Engineer – Power Modules (Engineering, Full‑time)
As part of the Microelectronics business, you will design, develop and support power modules across R&D, NPI and existing product lines. You will work closely with sales, business development and cross‑functional engineering teams to bring high‑performance, high‑reliability solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop power module products following the NPI process, from concept to operational production.
* Specify and introduce new power module products.
* Conduct electrical, mechanical and thermal design, including design‑for‑manufacture and high‑reliability requirements.
* Create procurement and manufacturing drawings and specifications.
* Prepare design and solution reports with costing estimates to support NPI projects.
* Collaborate with sales and business development on new business opportunities.
* Support existing product lines throughout their lifecycle.
* Contribute to the execution of the business strategic plan and stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.
* Ensure safe work practices and compliance with health and safety legislation.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
* Relevant experience in power module or power product design.
* Knowledge of SiC, GaN, silicon technologies and semiconductor devices (MOSFET, IGBT, diodes, bipolar transistors, etc.).
* Familiarity with aerospace and high‑reliability application requirements.
* Proficiency in mechanical and electronic CAD, as well as thermal, mechanical, and electrical simulations.
* Strong technical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities.
* Degree or equivalent engineering qualification (HND/HNC acceptable).
