Contract Lead – Employability & Skills
Location: Leicestershire or Northamptonshire (with regional travel)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000–£33,000 per annum

We’re looking for a confident and resilient Contract Lead to manage day-to-day performance on a designated government-funded employability contract. This is an ideal next step for an experienced supervisor or team leader looking to grow into operational management. You’ll be responsible for overseeing delivery at a regional level, supporting staff performance, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with key partners including Jobcentre Plus and local authorities.
This is a hands-on delivery leadership role that requires emotional intelligence, drive, and the ability to inspire others to achieve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Oversight
* Deliver contract outcomes and performance expectations on a designated employability programme
* Monitor day-to-day delivery performance and compliance with contract requirements
* Prepare and submit performance reports and audit-ready documentation
* Support internal quality improvement and contribute to operational planning
Team Leadership
* Supervise and support front-line delivery staff including Coaches and Administrators
* Conduct regular 1:1s and performance check-ins
* Champion a high-performance culture rooted in support, learning, and accountability
* Identify staff development needs and support CPD
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with local Jobcentre Plus offices, employers, and community partners
* Promote collaborative working to support participant progression
* Represent the programme in local forums and events
Operational Standards
* Ensure delivery centres are safe, compliant, and welcoming
* Contribute to budget efficiency and accurate financial claims
* Champion safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection standards
About You
Essential
* Experience in a supervisory or delivery team leader role within employability, welfare-to-work, or skills programmes
* Strong communication and people management skills
* Confidence in working to KPIs and compliance frameworks
* Resilient, results-driven, and highly organised
* IT literate and confident using CRM/case management systems
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
Desirable
* Awareness of Restart, Work and Health, or similar programmes
* Knowledge of local labour market and employment support landscape
* Mental Health First Aid or First Aid training
