We are currently seeking an experienced interim or contract Production Planner to support a fast-paced food manufacturing site based in South Wales during a critical project phase. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, systems-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic factory environment. As the interim Production Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and effective production planning across this food manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining, and optimising daily and weekly production schedules
* Analysing capacity and material availability to ensure efficient planning
* Collaborating closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, and QA teams
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and planning system enhancements
* Providing accurate scheduling data, insights, and updates to key stakeholders
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have;
* Strong experience with Preactor ( planning and scheduling software) or SAP as a minimum
* Advanced Excel skills (super‑user level)
* Proven production planning experience within food manufacturing
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
* Ability to perform under pressure in a high-speed factory environment
