The role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to fast-track your career in an aggressively ambitious business. The role's broad scope provides high exposure to the business, visibility over Group processes and systems, and exposure to and collaboration with highly skilled professionals.
The primary purpose of the role is to develop and implement innovative solutions that address business issues, streamline workflows, and automate processes to maximise efficiency by translating business requirements into technical solutions using the Power Platform.
Pine Walk works completely in the cloud to ensure we are flexible and ready for growth. Our Datawarehouse is built on Azure SQL combining data from third party databases and our own apps. The Power Platform is our reporting tool of choice alongside Excel but given the types of insurance involved, other areas of data analysis and system design, e.g. Python, GIS, will need to be integrated into our solutions in the future.

Key accountabilities
* Gather & analyse business requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders and IT Management, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes.
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality apps, workflows, automation processes, and data integrations on the Power Platform, including thorough testing and optimisation.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise PowerApps, Power Automate flows, and related integrations to improve reliability and user experience.
* Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc.
* Provide user training, support, and guidance, including creating training materials and assisting with onboarding to newly developed solutions.
* Any other duties assigned by your line manager relevant to the role/time.
Skills & experience
* Degree educated (minimum 2:1) in a numerate subject.
* Prior experience inwriting SQL queries using commands such as SELECT, LEFT JOIN, and GROUP BY, as well as creating stored procedures and views to support applications and workflowsMinimum of two years of hands-on experience developing Power Apps, including building applications with multiple workflows.
* Exposure to or experience with CI/CD pipelines for deploying Power Apps from development to production.
* Proficient in Power Automate and workflow automation.
* Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
* Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
* proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Proven ability to follow instructions and work diligently to create solutions based on provided specifications.
