Support Worker
Positive Steps

Salary: £25, - £27,
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join Positive Steps Care at Home service in the role of Support Worker. Positive Steps is a city wide short-term mental health Care at Home and Housing Support service, registered with the Care Inspectorate. The service supports individuals to develop the skills necessary to live independently and involves considerable lone working. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that support is provided in accordance with an individual's identified goals and support plan. They will also be responsible for developing support plans and risk assessments. The service is open days a yea with staff working to a rolling rota shift pattern. There will be an additional Working Time Payment to reflect shift working.

City of Edinburgh Council are currently going through a service review. It must therefore be noted to potential candidates that structures and posts may be subject to change

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
