Job Purpose: A Research and Development Scientist at SureScreen Diagnostics plays a pivotal role in the development of new products and technologies for our product portfolio. As a key member of the Research and Development team, your primary role will be hands on laboratory work in contract development and internal research projects for the lateral flow and rapid testing space. We are looking for a team member to work beyond standard operating procedures, and to innovate in method development and implementation. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: • Develop. Adapt and develop methods to produce lateral flow assays and rapid tests in response to internal development projects or external contract development. You will be involved in the full life cycle of our development projects from idea conception to experimental development and transfer to production. • Innovate. You will work alongside the Research and Development Manager to identify and implement new technologies, to optimise existing procedures, and to expand our capability. • Collaborate. You will work both independently and collaboratively with partners across the SureScreen Group and from external bodies. You will contribute in an advisory capacity to the quality control team and assist in the communication of scientific concepts to personnel across the company.
