As a DT Teacher, you will be delivering practical and theory:based lessons to KS3 and KS4 students across various DT specialisms. You will guide students through the design process, encourage problem:solving and creativity, and help them develop the skills to turn ideas into functional and impressive outcomes. Youll be responsible for preparing resources, maintaining a safe workshop/classroom environment, and inspiring students through real:world applications and projects.

Key Duties:
* Teach DT across Key Stage 3 and 4 (product design, graphics, textiles or food technology).
* Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons.
* Prepare materials and ensure health and safety compliance in all practical work.
* Encourage innovation, critical thinking, and independence.
* Support students through project:based assessments and coursework.
* Contribute to enrichment activities and school events.
Skills and Requirements:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching DT in UK secondary schools.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing ).
* Confident for digital modelling and manufacturing.
* Encourages creativity and lateral thinking through open:ended design tasks.
* Working knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment.
* Practical workshop experience and classroom management skills.
