What will you do? Change and Configuration Manager
The Change and Configuration Manager will play a vital role within the Travis Perkins IT Service team. The team is responsible for providing high-quality IT services that support Travis Perkins objectives. The Change and Configuration Manager will be accountable for the effective delivery of IT services through the application of ITIL principles and best practices.
As the change & Configuration Manager you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure appropriate governance, control, communication, and reporting are in place to support service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to shape change management and configuration management aspects within Travis Perkins.
Some accountabilities of the role:
1. Responsibility for the end to end Travis Perkins change process, ensuring that all Technology changes are analysed appropriately with adequate governance and risk management. Chair of Travis Perkins CAB process ensuring that high risk changes are discussed between stakeholders.
2. Responsibility for the Travis Perkins CMDB, defining the scope and objectives for the database to ensure that it aligns with business needs & goals. Facilitate audits of the CMDB to ensure accuracy.
3. Responsible for continual service improvement roadmaps for the Change & CMDB modules within the Travis Perkins ITSM tool of choice.
4. Responsible for the development of the team's KPIs and objectives, ensuring these are relevant and fit for purpose. Review & publish management information on the adherence to these objectives on a weekly & monthly basis including providing any extra reporting requirements to support service reviews internally or 3rd party etc.
5. Lead and coach a team of individuals to excellent performance. Nurture emerging talent to become future leaders and manage performance, induction, sickness & expenses using the Travis Perkins people manager toolkit. Ensure all HR processes are followed for the entire team to include PDP, Annual Reviews etc
6. Development of Change & CMDB documentation and processes to ensure accurate information
7. Responsibility for all risks registered in relation to the Change & CMDB modules within Travis Perkins ITSM tool of choice.
8. Input and suggestions into the wider IT Service strategy, ensuring that the Travis Perkins IT Service team are moving in a positive direction and continuously improving processes to the business. Deputise for Service & Operations Manager as required. Perform any other duties commensurate with the role and to develop along with any future changes to the departmental ways of working and general business development.
