My client is a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation within its specialist sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a CAD Engineer to join their technical office team, supporting the design and modification of existing engineered systems and products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Engineer who enjoys detailed design work, collaborating with internal teams, and working within a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Role – CAD Engineer
1. Producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings
2. Modifying and updating existing designs and layouts
3. Using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for design and drawing work
4. Creating and maintaining manufacturing drawings and BOMs
5. Supporting engineering and production teams with technical documentation
6. Making drawing amendments in line with the project and manufacturing requirements
7. Ensuring drawings comply with company and industry standards
8. Working closely with internal departments within an office-based engineering team
9. Day shifts, Monday to Friday
Minimum Skills / Experience Required – CAD Engineer
10. Previous experience working as a CAD Engineer or Design Engineer
11. Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
12. Background within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
13. Ability to produce accurate technical and manufacturing drawings
14. Understanding of production and engineering processes
15. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
16. Able to work independently and as part of a team
