Quality Specialist HACCP & Auditing
Salary: £37K - £42K Depending upon Experience.
Permanent, Full-time, site-based working 07:00am – 15:00pm and 08:30am – 16:30 alternate weeks.


About the Role:

We are seeking a HACCP and Auditing Specialist based in Rugby to support the delivery and administration of the site's food safety program. This role focuses on food safety analysis for the entire site operation and involves developing and leading the site auditing calendar for internal and external audits.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain the site HACCP system and all related documentation.
* Lead the internal food safety review calendar for all change activities related to product packaging and processes.
* Coordinate and execute internal and external audit programs.
* Manage activities to control and rectify non-conformances.
* Oversee corrective action plans for audit non-conformities.
* Drive continuous improvement in site quality performance with a focus on food safety and HACCP.
* Evaluate food safety risks and implement best practice improvements.
* Conduct HACCP training for operators and team members.
* Develop and implement site hygiene and quality standards.
* Support quality incident investigations, including product traceability, quarantines, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
* Assist in the maintenance and calibration of quality equipment, liaising with third-party providers.
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems, auditing, change control, and SPC systems.
* Contribute to the development of the site quality plans.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Proven communication skills with ability to adapt styles to individual needs.
* Strong knowledge of food production processes and legislation.
* Computer skills; SAP experience is advantageous.
* Proven experience in food safety management and auditing.
* Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, facilitation, and communication skills.
* Strong leadership qualities.
* Experience working in an FMCG environment, preferably within a Quality function.
* Experience in developing and maintaining food quality management systems and audits.

Qualifications:

* Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
* HACCP intermediate level certification.
* Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification.
* Lead Auditor training.
