The business operates across engineering design, fabrication, manufacture, and finishing, delivering complex power generation and engineering solutions to a wide range of clients, including public and private sector organisations.
This is a technically challenging and varied environment, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping commercial processes and supporting wider business change.
The role would suit a commercial professional with a strong track record in contract negotiation, lifecycle management, and process development within complex or regulated industries.
Knowledge of LV/HV power contracting and relevant regulations would be advantageous.
The Role As part of the leadership team, you will lead commercial process development and support broader commercial activities across the organisation.
You will be responsible for shaping, negotiating, and managing strategically significant contracts.
This includes leading high-value negotiations, overseeing agreements from bid through to closeout, and ensuring all commercial and legal obligations align with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
You will also provide expert commercial guidance to sales, finance, and operational teams to support programme delivery and maximise profitability.
Key responsibilities will include: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual terms in line with business objectives Leading the full route-to-contract process, including bid support, cost alignment, proposal development, and negotiation of bespoke terms Providing commercial oversight throughout contract delivery, including amendments, deliverables, and acceptance criteria Ensuring all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contract matters Identifying and mitigating legal and operational risks, ensuring compliance with governance and external requirements (e.g.
