**Job Title:** Cleaning Operative
**Pay Rate:** £12.60 per hour

**Hours:** 37.5 hours per week
**Shift Pattern:** Mon-Thurs (14:00-22:00), Friday (12:00-20:00)
**Location:** GSK, Harmire Road, Barnard Castle, County Durham, England, DL12 8DT
Job Objectives and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for cleaning and servicing designated areas efficiently and professionally, adhering to client and Mitie standards.
2. Perform all cleaning duties as requested by your Team Leader or management.
3. Ensure all tasks are completed following safe systems of work and risk assessments.
4. Wear the specified PPE at all times.
5. Comply with all GSK and Mitie health and safety regulations.
6. Follow security regulations concerning cleaning materials, equipment, and buildings.
7. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and work performance.
8. Keep GSK myLearning up to date and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
9. Report complaints, incidents, accidents, or irregularities promptly and take appropriate action if possible.
10. Undertake necessary training related to cleaning services.
11. Complete scheduled cleaning tasks as directed by the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
12. Adhere to COSHH requirements as specified by the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
13. Report faults in machinery or equipment to the Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader.
14. Report building defects to the Mitie Helpdesk.
15. Perform any reasonable requests from the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
16. Report near misses according to proper procedures.
17. Follow employee absence procedures when reporting sick.
Person Specification
1. Previous cleaning experience is preferable.
2. Good team player with a flexible approach to work, willing to cover other areas when required.
3. Proficiency in English to understand instructions, safety signs, SOPs, and safety training.
