Programme Manager Orion is working with a leading manufacturer of high-performance valve and control solutions, currently seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the successful delivery of complex engineering programmes across a range of industries, including defence and aerospace. About the Programme Manager Role: As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of programme delivery, from project initiation through to final handover. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and commercial—to ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities of the Programme Manager: Develop and maintain detailed programme plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers. Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment and progress across all functions. Monitor programme performance and implement corrective actions where necessary. Manage client expectations and act as the primary customer interface for assigned programmes. Ensure all programmes comply with internal quality standards and industry regulations. Oversee change control processes and proactively manage risks and issues. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to senior management and customers. Requirements of the Programme Manager: Proven experience in programme or project management within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001, API, or equivalent. A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
