The potential rota pattern for the successful candidate would be: Mon 8am-4pm, Tues 8am-4pm, Wed 10.30am-6.30pm, Fri 8am-4pm
Due to retirement, we are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and highly organised individual to join our very busy Practice.
Key requirements: Strong organisational skills, ability to be flexible, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to remain composed under pressure, team-focused approach and good computer literacy.
Candidates will be required to assist with covering absence / holiday cover if necessary.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to patients and practice staff. Duties can include but are not limited to supporting the administration and receptionist teams with patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in atimely manner and in accordance with current policies. Supporting staff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
Experience
* Experience of working within General Practice
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Clear, polite telephone manner
* Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
* Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
* Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
* Good interpersonal skills
* Problem solving & analytical skills
* Ability to follow policy and procedure
