Overview
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data, Intelligence, and Insight Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building the Council's end-to-end Data Warehouse, supporting teams in delivering integrated data analysis and intelligence. This will empower the Council to make informed decisions based on a robust evidence base and a single version of the truth.
Responsibilities
* Lead the technical development of data repositories across various council services.
* Deliver production-level SQL code and handle multiple data sources.
* Adapt to changing deadlines and provide technical support to colleagues within the wider data team.
* Optimise stored procedures in a DataMart context and contribute to building and enhancing reporting infrastructure.
Qualifications
* Experience delivering production-level SQL code and integrating multiple data sources.
* Strong problem-solving skills and experience optimising stored procedures in a DataMart context.
* Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and to support colleagues within the data team.
* Experience with data warehouses or data repositories is desirable; knowledge of council services is advantageous.

* Salary: The salary band for this role is £47,181 - £51,35. The starting salary is £47,181 with annual progression through the salary bands.

Interview Information
This is a hybrid role and there will be an expectation to be in the office 1-2 days per week. Interviews will be in person at our Southampton office.
