A full job description
We need an experienced Pharmacy Counter Assistant to work at our friendly, independent community pharmacy in Norwich.
This job is all about helping patients. It includes giving advice about over-the-counter drugs, checking for symptoms and sending the right cases to the chemist for clinical services like Pharmacy First.
The best candidate will be able to talk to patients with confidence, be able to answer common healthcare questions on their own, and be dedicated to provide great customer service.
Duties
Give patients guidance about over-the-counter drugs and minor health problems.
Ask the right questions to find symptoms and red flags.
Send the right instances to the chemist for Pharmacy First consultations.
Handle retail sales and help with the pharmacy’s daily activities
Restock the shelves and keep them looking well.
Make sure that products are facing the right way and that seasonal lines are switched around.
Keep an eye on the stock levels of over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
Keep the pharmacy clean, orderly, and professional at all times.
Give great care to patients and customers
Requirements
You need to have worked at a community pharmacy counter before.
A Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification is preferred.
Confident in giving patients advice on typical minor problems
Good communication skills and the ability to get along with others
Ability to work in a drugstore that is always busy
A professional and friendly way to take care of patients

Experience:
2 years of experience working at a community pharmacy’s medicine counter (needed)
License/Certification:
Medicines Counter Assistant Certificate (needed)
