JOB DESCRIPTION
The main role of the KTP Associate is to lead on the development of a bespoke optimisation, planning, and risk analysis tool for staff deployment; balancing cost, staff well-being, geographic constraints, and job requirements to enhance efficiency and meet operational demands. The tool will be scalable, integrate predictive capabilities, and be deployed alongside change management principles to support the growing business needs.
The Associates main challenge related to the project lies in the development of a new optimisation tool using multi-parametric optimisation techniques. This will also necessitate the development of analysis of previous data in order to understand the key parameters that constrain the scheduling task.
In addition, the Associate will need already have acquired an understanding of Change Management techniques or need to develop this through guidance from the supervisory team in order to apply them to an analysis of the integration of the developed tool into the business, as well as wider company issues related to growth.
Alongside the Applied Science element, the Associate will be expected to gain an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of Test Inc.s operations, as well as the people within the company that will use the new products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the continued development and improvement of planning tool.
Research and development of new technology, frameworks, and methodologies to improve both internal processes and company service offerings using the latest cutting-edge research in data science and AI technologies to digitally transform the staff deployment process for Test Inc and create the workflow for full optimisation and risk analysis of this task.
Development of Change Management analysis for the tools developed, their impact on the company and an understanding of the wider issue of growth for the company and how these strategies can manage this growth
Delivery, planning and management of projects from conception to completion - engage with the companys staff and stakeholders throughout the project to ensure that the technologies implemented are aligned with Test Inc.s requirements
Creation of reliable, robust, and efficient software solutions, data analysis tools, and reporting dashboards.
Project Management planning to successfully integrate the digital system into the workforce of both Test Inc. and also its clients
Write, test, debug and document high quality code to create new features.
Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders clients, colleagues etc.
To be a positive ambassador for both Test Inc. and the University of Aberdeen.
CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
We are looking for someone with expertise in Software Engineering, design and development of software systems, design and development skills, and experience of data science. Most importantly we are seeking someone who is an excellent communicator, with an inquisitive and proactive mindset, capable of innovative thinking, and leading projects from conception to deployment.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Salary will be at £36,000 per annum and the role is for 30 months. Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and probation period.For further information on various staff benefits and policies please contact us.
This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
