Job DescriptionThe Energy Transition is the fundamental shift underway in how we, as a global community, produce, distribute, and consume energy, with the overarching goal of transitioning to a lower carbon future.
Will you be part of the solution? If you are passionate about making a difference in the sector, then join Stantec's industry leading Energy team in driving the change!
As a result of recent successes and the development of new projects and clients, Stantec is looking to recruit a Principal Mechanical Engineer into our Energy & Resources team. This role can be based in any of our UK offices, ideally reachable from the Midlands.
Working as part of our Waste and Energy Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including conventional EfW plants, district heating, gasification projects, hydrogen schemes, and multiple biogas production projects.
In this role, you will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from optioneering through detailed design and installation. Responsibilities include feasibility studies, site surveys, and investigations. You will collaborate with clients, partners, and team members to develop designs and project-wide solutions across diverse projects within Stantec's Energy and Resources sector.
As designers in the construction, energy, and waste sectors, we take our responsibility for HSE matters seriously, fostering a culture of open scrutiny and continuous improvement.
