A full-time permanent position has become available within the Newcastle District Office (Castle House), where we are looking for someone to provide high-level business support administration to support social work practitioners across multiple teams.
The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
You will be office-based during your training/induction period. After successful completion, you will be predominantly office-based, with some home working arranged on a rota basis depending on service demands.
Main Responsibilities
You will:
* Provide high-level administrative support to Practitioners as part of the Business Support Team.
* Maintain children's electronic records, create and record referrals, action step-up/step-down requests, transfer and close cases accurately by inputting information into our system.
* Cleanse and audit records to ensure accuracy for performance management.
* Coordinate administrative requirements following a child's entry into care.
* Support Practitioners in the use of PowerBI.
* Provide on-the-job IT training and support for all IT systems.
* Produce high-quality Word-processed documents.
* Service statutory meetings, including sending invitations, taking attendance and minutes, and distributing records within agreed timescales.
* Process daily financial transactions in accordance with financial regulations.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
* GCSE English and Maths.
* IT Qualification (ECDL or equivalent).
* NVQ 3 in Business Administration.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and computer-based information systems in an office environment.
* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
