GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with schools in Sheffield, including the S2 and S3 areas, supporting pupils who require additional guidance in their learning. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with an individual student, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and stay engaged in a positive and structured classroom environment. Key Duties of 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one support tailored to the student’s individual needs. Assist the student in understanding and completing classroom tasks. Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and focused learning environment. Help manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing. Essential Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). What’s in It for You?
