About the Role
The Senior Management Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for the Ireland business. As a Senior Management Accountant you will play a key role in driving efficiency within the finance team and ensuring the company meets its financial objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
Lead the production of accurate, timely monthly management accounts and maintain strong financial control through rigorous balance sheet reconciliations, overhead reviews, and adherence to internal financial procedures.
* Oversee intercompany transactions, foreign exchange impacts, and statutory reporting requirements, including VAT, corporate tax, local GAAP accounts, and regulatory filings.
* Support external audits and ensure payroll and associated taxes are processed correctly through coordination with outsourced providers and local management.
* Provide analytical insight into operating costs, partnering with senior stakeholders -including the relevant General Managers - and contributing to budgeting, reforecasting, and wider FP&A activities.
* Champion continuous improvement by driving systems optimisation, automation, and enhanced financial processes to improve efficiency and data accessibility.
* Promote a high‑performance culture by role‑modelling accountability, integrity, and collaboration within the finance team and across departments.
Required Experience
* Fully or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and IFRS.Background working with international entities, external advisors, and auditors, with solid knowledge of tax, compliance and statutory requirements.
* Proficient in financial systems (D365 desirable) with advanced Excel capability.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with non‑financial stakeholders.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and to lead, motivate and develop others.
* Desirable: Experience in the travel industry, high‑growth or high‑volume environments, and familiarity with ERP systems or process improvement initiatives.
